Rhonda Hartmann Weinstein has been helping injured people obtain justice through her personal injury law practice for almost twenty years. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1985, and after working at the large advertising firm of Young and Rubicam in New York City, she entered law school at Hofstra University, graduating in 1989. After spending six years as an attorney with one of the largest plaintiff personal injury firms serving the New York City area, Ms. Weinstein opened her own practice. She returned home to Florida with her husband Mark in 1997. She made national and international news in 2002 when she received the country’s first, and what is still the only, verdict against the tobacco industry for second hand smoke injuries, when a Miami jury returned a verdict for 5.5 million dollars to a non-smoking flight attendant who suffered from smoke-induced chronic sinusitis (See our “in the news” section). After years of appeals, the tobacco industry recently was forced to pay the judgment entered, making Rhonda’s client the only U.S. citizen to ever receive money from the tobacco companies for injuries caused by second hand smoke.

Ms. Weinstein is admitted to the New York, New Jersey, and Florida Bars, as well as United States District Courts in New York and New Jersey.

Ms. Weinstein’s practice has always been devoted to all types of personal injury litigation, and she continues to be so devoted, including automobile accidents, trip and falls, premises liability, and wrongful death cases, as well as social security disability law. In addition to the above, she currently represents flight attendants in ongoing litigation arising from a class action against the tobacco industry for illnesses resulting from secondhand smoke on aircraft. She met her husband and law partner Mark in court in New York City, where they were opposing attorneys on a personal injury case.
